Meet The Gustafson Family

We have lived on San Juan Island for10 years. We moved here from Casper, WY to join our extended family on the island. We were a family of 5 when we moved here and 4 years ago, we added our 6th family member (Mikey) Michael Gustafson.

Our oldest child Alex graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Marine Biology and Oceanography. He is currently working for the Orca Behavior Institute on San Juan Island and will be getting married to his lovely fiancé Hayley in May.

Our son Chris is in his senior year of high school. He is a great athlete and enjoys playing football, basketball, and baseball. He has recently committed to going to school at Whitworth University in Spokane and playing on their football team. Go Bucs!

Our daughter Anna is busy as well and loves to participate in basketball and softball. She is currently a sophomore in high school. She is the best big sister!

Mikey will be turning 5 in September and is quite a spirited and adventurous toddler.

Our nephew John is such an important part of our operation. He is our clean up Master and work horse. He also keeps us laughing all day. We are so thankful to have him as part of our team. He and his wife Nayaleah welcomed a beautiful baby boy last year and we are so excited for their adorable edition.

And finally, we are David and Lindsay. We run Gustafson Tree Care together as a team. Dave is usually up in the trees doing the complicated rigging, trimming, and tree felling. Lindsay is the ground girl, running saws, cutting and stacking wood, raking, running ropes, felling, and climbing the occasional smaller tree. We enjoy working hard together and using our teamwork to complete complicated jobs.
